These Terms govern your use of the Land by Drone website and the services provided by Land by Drone (trading as DJ Drone Limited). By accessing our website or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to these Terms. Throughout, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Land by Drone (trading as DJ Drone Limited).
You agree to use our website lawfully and in a way that does not interfere with its operation or the rights of others. All content on this website belongs to Land by Drone (trading as DJ Drone Limited) and is protected by copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, modify or distribute any content without written permission. We aim to keep the website available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
A binding contract is formed when you accept our written quotation, confirm in writing that you wish to proceed, or we begin work with your verbal or email authorisation. All quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated and are based on the information you provide. If site conditions differ materially from what was described, we reserve the right to revise pricing accordingly.
We provide drone surveying, aerial mapping, photogrammetry, inspections and related services as outlined in the agreed quotation. Work outside the agreed scope will be charged separately and must be approved before commencement.
You are responsible for providing accurate site details including hazards and access information, securing permission from landowners or site managers, ensuring safe access to the site, and informing us of any changes affecting operations. If access is denied, restricted or delayed through no fault of ours, we reserve the right to charge for aborted visits and rescheduling.
All operations are conducted in accordance with UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations and the Air Navigation Order. Flights are subject to suitable weather, airspace authorisation where required, and safe operating conditions. We will not fly if conditions are unsafe, permissions are denied, equipment fails or site risks are unacceptable. If we cancel due to weather or regulatory restrictions, we will reschedule or provide a refund. Delays caused by airspace or regulatory approval processes are outside our control.
All prices are quoted in GBP and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Standard terms are a 50% deposit upon acceptance, 50% balance upon delivery, payment due within 14 days of invoice. For larger projects, alternative schedules may be agreed in writing. Late payments may incur statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Rescheduling is typically accommodated where reasonable notice is provided.
Deliverables are typically issued within 24 to 48 hours of flight completion unless otherwise agreed, and supplied in standard industry formats as specified in your quotation.
Drone surveying is subject to environmental and technical limitations including GPS signal strength, weather and lighting, ground control placement and processing constraints. Accuracy guidance (for example RTK plus or minus 2 to 3cm) reflects typical performance, not guaranteed precision for every data point.
Project data is retained for 12 months after final delivery. After this period, data may be permanently deleted unless agreed otherwise.
Upon full payment, you own the final deliverables. Raw imagery, logs and processing files remain the intellectual property of Land by Drone (trading as DJ Drone Limited). We may use anonymised project material for marketing unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Our services are provided strictly for the purpose outlined in the agreed quotation. We are not liable for decisions made using survey data, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, revenue or opportunity, or delays outside our reasonable control. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud or any matter that cannot legally be limited. We maintain £10 million public liability insurance; certificates are available upon request.
We treat client data and project information as confidential. We will not disclose confidential information except where legally required, to subcontractors bound by confidentiality obligations, or for anonymised marketing use. We are happy to enter into a mutual NDA where required.
We conduct full risk assessments before every flight. You must disclose known hazards including power lines, underground services, security restrictions and environmental sensitivities. Failure to disclose relevant hazards may result in cancellation and additional charges. We will not operate where public or personnel safety is compromised.
We are not liable for delays or failure due to events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, airspace closures, public health emergencies and civil unrest. In such cases, services will be rescheduled or refunded.
If you are dissatisfied, please notify us within 7 days of delivery. We aim to resolve disputes amicably. Failing resolution, disputes are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
These Terms, together with any written quotation or agreement, form the entire agreement between you and Land by Drone (trading as DJ Drone Limited).
